Meet The Team!

 

Brian Chambers

Hey! I’m the owner of Big Bend Strength, and I’ve been coaching weightlifting for the last ten years.

I started in Tallahassee Fl, with my first barbell club in 2016 out of the back of a CrossFit gym while learning from my coach and mentor Glenn Pendlay before he passed in 2019.

During Covid, I found a passion for creating content to help lifters start their weightlifting journey, while also helping coach lifters to the state, national, and international level.

Calvin Lackey

Hey there! My name is Calvin, and I’m an online 1 on 1 Coach with Big Bend Strength.

I was first introduced to weightlifting through high school sports and quickly became obsessed with using the olympic lifts to improve my performance in track and field.

My self-taught lifts helped me get a scholarship from the Lindenwood University college weightlifting team. After my freshman year I was named captain of the team and helped lead them to back-to-back national championships in my sophomore year.

My best lifts are a 121kg/266lbs snatch, and 150kg/330lbs clean and jerk at 81kg/179lbs bodyweight.
